About Nilsen Travel

My name is Kirsten Juni, I’m Norwegian. I’m married to Runar Børge and together we have three children. We love to travel and we “collect countries”. Every year our goal is to visit a new country, but we also like to travel to places we have been before. Sometimes because we really liked the place or because we didn’t see or do all we liked to se or do there.

Our vacations vary a lot, from aeroplain and “all inclusive” in 5 star hotels to driving our own car and stay in youth hostels. We have found that “expensive is comfortable and cheap is exciting”!

When I visited the H.C. Andersen museum in Copenhagen, I saw a quote: To travel is to live! I totally agree with him.

Maybe I  can inspire someone to travel to a new place through this blog, so they can have some new experiences. Everything must not be perfect, often the good stories comes from when things didn’t go as planned…

As you’ll see some stories are already old, but they are a part of who I am as a traveller and it’s stories that meen something to me. Some will also go  back to the time when my name was not Nilsen, but it is now… As I travel to new places, the new stories will also be posted.

Sometimes my blog will be about excotic places. Other times it will be about places like Trondheim, an hour from my home. But Trondheim is very excotic if you live in New York…

In year 2000 we had our own firm and a web page named www.nilsentravel.com. We were then working as touroperators in Madagascar. That firm does not exsist anymore, but we are still Nilsen family and we travel, so the name still fits!

As I wrote I’m Norwegian, which means my English will not be perfect. Do I make serious mistakes, please tell me. If it’s not that important, then please ignore it. Thank you 🙂

Sharing is caring :-)

Tiden er ikke hva den var : før dro folk til nærmeste storby som folk idag drar på sydenferie !

Det har du rett i. Jeg synes det er en fin utvikling, så lenge man ikke glemmer å glede seg over det man har like rundt hjørnet 🙂
